2 "Break the code" activities
What I enjoy most about half term is having the time to be more creative and design activities like escape games or code-breaking challenges for my pupils. This time, I chose to focus on my younger students in Years 3 and 4. Having just created a new scheme of work based on Primary Sentence Builder 1 & 2, it felt like the perfect opportunity to try something new. Both tasks are very similar. Once I created the first one, I reused it for the second one as a template so I kept some of the tasks the same.
